To
support this curriculum, each organization in the program
will be assigned a consultant for local "on-call" support
and guidance. This equates to one visit per month for a minimum
of the six months of the curriculum. The expectation is that
each organization will receive six full-day consultations
with their consultant (the equivalent of 48 hours consulting
time). Consultants may be assigned to up to three organizations.
Compensation for participating in the entire program will
be a total of $2,800 per organization, meaning consultants
may be compensated up to $8,400 if assigned the maximum of
three organizations. However, consultants are expected to
work individually, not collectively, with their assigned organization
to ensure that each receives the individualized attention
(and consultant hours) they are due.
Consultants
will be expected to provide the following:
On-site or phone consultation for a minimum of 8 hours
per month during the 6-month webinar series per assigned organization(s) Creating a work plan for each of the assigned organizations
Progress reports to the ASU Lodestar Center in the form
of a one-page report (following a template) filed monthly Participation in conference calls if requested by the ASU
Lodestar Center or Kay Sprinkel Grace
Application Requirements:
Must be an independent fundraising consultant, not a salaried
development staff member. Experience with development in Maricopa County Willing to make the required time commitment to the fundraising
capacity building program during the anticipated time frame
of December 2009 - September 2010 Preferred candidates will subscribe to the Code of Ethical
Principles put forth by the Association of Fundraising Professionals
(AFP).
