Lucy, a 3.2 million-year old fossil skeleton of a human ancestor
from Ethiopia, moved to ASU with her discoverer, Donald C. Johanson, when the
Institute of Human Origins, a paleo-anthropology research institute, relocated
to ASU in 1997.
