Long time Chicano activist and Los Angeles public school teacher Sal Castro (featured in the documentary Chicano!) was among the keynote speakers.
Marie Orillon-Harker and Luis Felipe Cruz listened intently as Sal Castro spoke.
Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Valverde speak to Dr. Raul Cardenas. Dr. Cardenas was
also a feautered speker. Dr. Cardenas is currently the Interim Chancellor
of the Maricopa Community College District as well as a member of the HBLI
Coordinating Council.
