The Assembly on Literature for Adolescents is an independent assembly of NCTE. For over 30 years teachers, librarians, publishers and teacher-educators have turned to the ALAN review for help finding exciting literature for young adults. ALAN offers a website filled with support materials as well as subscription information for the ALAN Review, a quarterly publication intended to support the teaching of young adult literature. You can visit ALAN online at http://www.alan-ya.org Arizona State University offers a nationally recognized program in Young Adult Literature with professors who are recognized as leaders in the field. Young Adult Lit WebQuests is a website offered by the English Education Department at Arizona State University. WebQuests allow teachers, students and young adult literature lovers alike to review young adult books including book summaries, links about the themes, events and characters in the books, quiz questions, a rubric, additional teaching suggestions and archetype information. Please visit http://www.asu.edu/clas/english/englished/yalit/helpwanted/index.htm The Book List was compiled by Professor Jean Boreen at Northern Arizona University, based on the original list which was created by John Connors. The Book List includes hundreds of books written for young adults and is organized alphabetically as well as by genre.
