WORKING NOTES, NUALA ARCHER: "Super 8 Software Wanderings" is a long piece of subtitles from a movie in my head about growing up in Panama. Much to my delight (and confirming my anxiety) I find my initials in the gap between Pa and Ma. In this poem I continue to explore the places I have lived as palimpsest. The context of this excerpt is a long piece called "Attic Antics" in which the personalities of two female flaneurs develop. The roof of their attic, like a planetarium, opens to other worlds and together they turn the usual madness of an attic's hoardings into play and pleasure. go to this issue's table of contents
