Central to Pluribus Unum is the compendium of school-related cases in which issues of diversity and leadership intersect. These cases, which portray emotionally charged circumstances in which school leaders frequently find themselves, pose administrative dilemmas for which there is no clear correct resolution. They are useful as professional development tools: for individual reflection on one's own reactions to the case, for reflections among groups about issues related to the case, as springboards for small group discussion, and as seeds for more extensive research.
