• The central facility would be responsible for data management, standards development, and data preservation;

• The service points would be responsible for assisting with the deposit of data, accessing data, and training and user consultation;

  • Service points would be located in universities and other institutions interested in providing access to preserved research data (a model similar to the Depository Service Program between government publishing and Canadian libraries);
