Bio

GladysAnn Wells is Director of the Arizona Department of Library, Archives, and Public Records. The last several years have been a period of major growth and revitalization in the Department. Instilled with a new sense of energy and vision from the Director appointed two and one-half years ago, the Department is pursuing innovative approaches to meeting its broad range of responsibilities. The Department has enhanced services to the Legislature and initiated collaborative projects involving the library, archival, and museum communities. GladysAnn has raised over $7.25 million of external funding to support Arizona public libraries since her appointment in 1997.
