Bio

Michael Proctor is University Attorney at the University of Arizona, where he received his undergraduate and law degrees. Mike has been practicing law since 1988, and has been at the Attorney’s Office at the University of Arizona since 1993. Mike’s private practice focused primarily on insurance defense litigation.

At the University Attorney’s Office, Mike handles issues related to the Arizona State Museum, the University Art Museum and the Center for Creative Photography, the University of Arizona Press, Student Affairs, Intercollegiate Athletics as well as general institutional issues regarding electronic resources, copyright, trademarks, and insurance. Mike has served on several university policy committees related primarily to electronic communication, privacy, and corporate relationships, and he also teaches a course on the Law of Higher Education.
