Bio

Leonard K. Peters came to Virginia Tech in 1993 as Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School and Professor of Chemical Engineering. Prior to his arrival in Blacksburg, Dr. Peters was at the University of Kentucky in a variety of positions including Department Chair, Associate Dean for Research, Acting Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, and Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies. His academic degrees are from the University of Pittsburgh (PhD, MS, and BS) in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Peters is on the Board of Directors of the Council of Graduate Schools and the Board of Oak Ridge Associated Universities.
