LUNG CANCER

The Awareness Ribbon for Lung Cancer is clear because Lung Cancer is commonly known as the 'invisible killer'.

Incidence rates for lung cancer is among the lowest out of all ethnicities for Hispanics.

Hispanic women are half as likely as African American women to develop lung cancer, and White women more than 2 times more likely to develop lung cancer than Hispanic women.

The incidence rate for Hispanics is increasing though. This is thought to be because of an increase in smoking among Latinos, especially females.
