BREAST CANCER |
Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths for Latina women even though they have lower incidence rates. Many of these deaths could be prevented with early detection. Only about half of Hispanic women over the age of forty get a mammogram once every two years The National Cancer Society along with the CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommends that women over the age of forty get annual mammograms.
