A
Biographical Handbook of Hispanics and United States Film
is the companion volume to Hispanics
and United States Film: An Overview and Handbook.
This work documents how Hispanics have participated in American
film from 1894 through the contemporary period. Hundreds of actors,
directors, cinematographers, and other film professionals are referenced
as well as over 1,000 films in order to provide the most complete
biographic and filmographic record of the participation of Hispanics
in the United States film industry. Biographical data includes all
available information - full given names and stage names, vital
dates, place of birth, a record of the films that the individual
participated in, and awards and other recognitions. This work also
provides a rich visual apparatus with more than 200 illustrations
including numerous photographic stills, portrait photographs, posters,
lobby cards, advertisements, and other realia.
