BY CONSENTING TO THESE TERMS OF USE FOR PARTICIPATION IN ASU’S TEXT MESSAGE PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO ARBITRATE ALL CLAIMS BETWEEN YOU AND THE ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ("ABOR"), FOR AND ON BEHALF OF ASU, ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY AND NOT AS PART OF ANY CLASS. A "CLAIM" IS ANY CASE, CONTROVERSY, DISPUTE, TORT, DISAGREEMENT, LAWSUIT, LEGAL ACTION OR CLAIM NOW OR HEREAFTER PENDING BETWEEN YOU AND ASU, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY ALLEGED STATE OR FEDERAL STATUTORY VIOLATION OR ANY DISPUTE ARISING UNDER OR RELATING TO THE INTERPRETATION OF THE TEXT MESSAGE TERMS OR THE ARBITRABILITY OF ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER OR RELATING TO THE TEXT MESSAGE TERMS. THE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION THEN IN FORCE SHALL GOVERN THE ARBITRATION (provided, however, that the terms of the Text Message Terms shall control over any inconsistency between the Rules of the American Arbitration Association and the Text Message Terms).
The arbitrator shall have authority to interpret the Text Message Terms, including but not limited to the authority to decide whether any claim is arbitrable under the Text Message Terms and to decide issues related to the scope of arbitration, the rules of arbitration, the arbitrator’s jurisdiction and the enforceability of the Text Message Terms. You agree that the Text Message Terms involves commerce under 9 U.S.C. §§ 1 et seq. and that this Arbitration Clause is governed by federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act. The remainder of the Text Message Terms is governed by the laws of the state of Arizona as they apply to agreements made solely therein. This Arbitration Clause shall survive termination of the Text Message Terms.

Supported Carriers
ASU Text Messaging Programs are compatible with most major US carriers.
Opting Out
To stop receiving text messages, text STOP to the short code from which you received the message(s). Almost all STOP requests are taken care of immediately, but it may take up to 3 business days from the date you text STOP to be removed from that texting group.
After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive text messages to that phone number. You may continue to receive marketing messages from ASU if you have requested to receive them from other ASU departments or services. You will continue to receive informational text messages from ASU as necessary or requested. When replying STOP, you will only be removed from the texting list for the number to which you replied. You may continue to receive SMS messages from ASU Text Message Services from other numbers unless and until you opt out of each.
Opting Back In
If you send ASU a STOP text in response to an ASU text message, you can start receiving ASU text messages again by providing consent to ASU to send the messages.
Privacy and Data Usage
All mobile information shared will remain confidential and will only be used by ASU representatives. ASU does not share phone numbers with external sources. Different ASU offices, departments, or organizations may collect and use information differently; please review specific privacy policies for each service.
Modifications to Terms
ASU may modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the Text Message Program after modifications indicates acceptance of updated Terms. If you do not agree to modified Terms, you may opt out of the program.
