The Institute will host a one week leadership training session at Arizona State University for high school sophomores and juniors. Prospective participants must apply during either their sophomore or junior year. Students who are selected to attend the Institute will participate in workshops, create original work projects and live on campus during the program. The students reside in residence halls on campus, and maintain a busy schedule of presentations, discussions, and hands-on projects. All costs are covered by the program.

Participants must provide their own transportation to and from ASU.

Qualifications

Must be a high school sophomore or junior during the 2008-2009 school year.

Selection Criteria

Selection will be made on the basis of :

  • Demonstrated leadership in community/school involvement
  • Academic achievement
  • Quality of personal statement
