  • Doors will open to guests at 5:30p.m. Tickets are required for admission. Tickets are FREE and must be picked up at the Multicultural Student Center (3rd floor of the Student Services Building) by May 1, 2009.
  • Graduates are asked to gather at 5:30 pm at Old Main to prepare for the formal processional that will begin at 6:30 pm.
  • Graduates must wear an official ASU cap and gown during the convocation ceremony. Caps and gowns are available at the ASU Bookstore.
  • Free parking will be available at Foundation Building parking structure located off of University and College. Disabled parking is available in this lot as well.
  • A professional photographer will be onsite to document this special event for graduates and their families. The photographs will be available for purchase.

A note to faculty members:

Thank you for your interest in celebrating the accomplishments of the spring Class of 2009. Faculty and Staff members are invited to lead the formal processional that will open the 2009 Black and African Convocation. Please plan to arrive at 6:00pm with your regalia. We will gather backstage to prepare for the formal processional that will begin at 6:30 pm.

Orders are being taken now at the ASU Bookstore for purchases OR rentals of regalia for Faculty and Staff.
