    ATP NOTES

    1. THREE of the THREE awareness areas are required. A course CAN satisfy TWO awareness areas simultaneously. The third or fourth semester of a foreign language (except Latin, Greek, or sign language) satisfy Global Awareness [G] requirements.
    2. Foreign language proficiency requires knowledge of one foreign language equivalent to the completion of a foreign language course at the intermediate level (course must transfer to ASU 202 level or above). Completion of a course that transfers to ASU as equivalent to SHS202, American Sign Language IV, will also fulfill this requirement.
    3. Related Courses meet the following criteria: a) They satisfy General Studies AND b) They transfer as either Departmental Electives or Direct Equivalencies to courses in the following departments: ASB, ASM, BIO, GCU, HPS, PHI, SOC.
    4. Except courses that transfer as ASB231, PSY290, or E (Elective).
    5. Psychology Electives are courses that transfer to ASU as Departmental Elective Credit [DEC(PGS) OR DEC(PSY)].
