  America: History and Life (1954+) Indexes and Abstracts over 2,400 articles, bibliographic citations of reviews and dissertations on the history and culture of the USA and Canada from prehistoric to the present time.
     
ArchivesUSA (1950s+) Access to special collection details of more than 4,400 repositories includes records with complete detailed indexes for approximately 100,000 individual collections. Includes access through NUCMC and NIDS subject headings.

  Arizona Archives Online  An online description to archival materials.  Includes  finding aids from the various special collections of  Arizona State University,   University of Arizona and Northern Arizona University 

Arizona and Southwestern Index (mid 1800s+) Indexes the Arizona, Chicano, Visual Literacy, Univ. Archives, Labriola Center, Child Drama, and Special collections. Covers ephemeral material, photos, biographies, oral histories, manuscripts, etc. Includes items in Arizona Historical Foundation & Hayden Library

Arizona Cultural Inventory Project  The CIP includes more than 600 repositories and societies.  It includes basic directory information, including addresses, phone numbers, emails, and website. The CIP also includes descriptions of each repository’s mission and collections; allows searchs for a specific repository or society by name; and allows browsing for repositories that collect certain subjects or in a specific location..  

Arizona History and Archives Division  The Arizona History and Archives Division identifies, collects, preserves and provides access to the historical manuscripts, government records, books and photographs of Arizona and its peoples

ASU Department of Archives & Manuscripts The web page for the Arizona Collection, ASU Archives and Chicano Research Collections(among others).  This site contains much useful information about ASU and Arizona.  The Department of Archives and Manuscripts office and the Arizona Collection, University Archives, and the Chicano Research Collection are located on level 4 of the Charles Trumbull Hayden Library

Colorado Plateau: Canyons, cultures and environmental change "This website provides an introduction to the environmental history of the Colorado Plateau. It summarizes a vast body of research from multiple disciplines"

HarpWeek: The Civil War Era and Reconstruction I-II (1857-1877)  Indexes full-text of Harper's Weekly, probably the only consistent, comprehensive, weekly chronological record of world-wide events of the late 19th century. Covers front-line Civil War reports, the re-election of Lincoln, & Reconstruction.

Hayden Arizona Pioneer Biographies (1800s) Selected Pioneer Biographies written or compiled by Senator Carl Hayden.  Includes data for  names listed for the current geographic area of Arizona in the 1860, 1864 & 1870 U.S. Censuses for the Arizona/New Mexico & Arizona territories.

PCI Full Text (1770-1995) PCI Web is an electronic index to the contents of thousands of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences from their first issues to 1990/1991. Every article is indexed.

Under Resources, you will find biographies of Western women as well as other resources...

Yahoo/U. S. History Yahoo is my search engine of choice when I begin an Internet Search.   Its History sections are excellent.   Because of its subject and hierarchical structure, it is the closest to a Library of the Internet.
