The Archival Drawings Collection housed at the AED Library contains primary materials related to the areas of architecture, planning, interior design, and industrial design. Recently the Library has expanded its collection by intitiating an active acquisitions program for archival materials.
Current holdings span the period circa 1898 to the present and include a wide variety of drawings and job files that contain correspondence, reports, specification documents, research notes, illustrations, minutes/proceedings, financial records, legal agreements, newsclippings, photographs, and miscellany. Audiovisual items such as videotapes, audio tapes, vinyl audio discs, and slides are also present. Smaller manuscript collections related to design competitions, planning, and other aspects of architecture and environmental design are also included in this component of Special Collections holdings.
