The IRS has issued updated withholding tax tables as required by the new American Recovery and Reinvestment Act signed into law by President Barack Obama. The new withholding tables will result in more take-home pay for millions of American workers. The new tax tables will be effective with your March 27 paycheck.

It is not necessary to submit a Form W-4 to get the automatic withholding change. However, an employee with multiple jobs or married couples whose combined incomes place them in a higher tax bracket may elect to submit a revised W-4 to ensure enough withholding is held to cover the tax for his or her combined income.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your Arizona withholding will be affected by this change since Arizona withholding is calculated as a percentage of the federal withholding.
