Counseling Psychology
Mary Lou Fulton Institute and Graduate School of Education
Jessica is a fourth year doctoral student in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education, with aspirations of becoming a research professor in Counseling Psychology. She earned B.S. degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Iowa State University, and an M.S. in General Experimental Psychology from DePaul University. Over the past several years she has developed a strong interest in research related to how interpersonal factors influence intrapersonal functioning. Specifically, she is interested in examining individual well-being, and the maladaptive behaviors and cognitions that individuals are postulated to develop as a way of coping with various interpersonal dynamics. In addition to teaching at ASU and Mesa Community College, Jessica has served as a GPSA Assembly Member for the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education, graduate student member of the ASU University Hearing Board, and member of the Mesa Community College CRRC (College Research Review Committee). Outside of working on her Ph.D., Jessica loves to find any excuse to travel to cooler climates, and is determined to become an avid golfer before she leaves Arizona. She lives with her two feline spiritual advisors, Pippen and Ainsley.
