Instructor Volumes
QUESTION: What is an Instructor Volume and how can I use it?
ANSWER: An Instructor Volume (IV) is network disk space, provided by Information Technology (IT), where data files, assignments, and programs may be stored by an instructor for students to access. Students can attach their network session to an Instructor Volumes and copy or read the data files or run programs.
An instructor volume can also be given a web address, example:
To request an Instructor Volume do the following:
1. Request the IV
NOTE: If you wish to give multiple people access to your IV, please include their ASURITE usernames in the "Comments" area.
2. When the folder is set up, you receive email confirmation that your IV has been created and the location (path) to your new IV. Example:

If you want others to access your files over the web. you need to have your new IV folder mapped to a web address. You do this by requesting the URL you wish to use for your IV. To do this, fill out a Helpdesk request
