Helping the Community

ASU V-day strives to make a difference in the community. For the past nine years, our campaign has contributed to the fight to end violence in many significant ways. We support the ASU Campus first by spreading information about the prevalence and danger of violence against women through tabling and events on campus, including our continually successful productions. We also give 10% of our profits directly back to the campus by supporting ASU HomeSafe, a rape and violence resource on campus.

ASU V-day extends into the community far beyond campus. Each year, we consider local shelters and organizations who we feel are helping the V-day cause to be our beneficiary. The rest of our profits are donated directly to our beneficiary. As always, 10% of our profits goes back to support the National V-day cause, which goes to help the global fight against violence.

ASU V-day generally raises $10,000-$15,000 each year due to the success of our shows, hard work from our volunteers (including the actresses), and generosity of our community. Please consider making a donation to ASU V-day. You can also sponsor us and put your business on our website or in our program. Contact us now to get this easy process started. We thank you for your generous support!

2009 Beneficiary

This year, ASU V-day will be supporting S.E.E.D.s (Support Education, Empowerment, and Directions). "The Support, Education, Empowerment & DirectionS (SEEDs) house, a project of the National Advocacy & Training Network, is located in Mesa, AZ. Established in January, 2003, to address the unmet needs of battered and sexually abused women. The program is a community-based, transitional home committed to the physical, mental, and emotional healing of women whose lives have been affected by substance abuse and violence." This local shelter provides an important resource for abused women in our community. ASU V-day is proud to support S.E.E.D.s this year. Find out more about S.E.E.Ds here. Please consider making a donation to help support our community and put an end to violence.
