(Theta Woman) (Homage to Tau Chapter) (Misconceptions)
Theta Woman
Loyal to the cocoon
From where she comes
The Theta Woman rises out of a lavender dawn
To proudly bridge the gaps in her world
With her butterfly wings.
With honesty and courage
She lives and loves without conditions.
Surrendering to her beauty and power,
She gives and receives freely
Remembering her vision, her purpose, her heart.
Creator of her own definition
She inspires those around her
To be proud and selfless
To give unselfishly over and over again.
Loving herself as she loves others,
The butterfly transcends
- taking others with her in her flight.

Homage to the Tau Chapter of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority Inc.
Sisters, you are all one of a kind
Incredible women, top of the line
Sisterhood was to me a foreign thought
Thank you Tau for you have brought this into my heart
Excellence is what we represent
Representing is what from each one of you I expect
Holla Back as ONE set the foundation
One year later Straight Up ONE brought in some variation
Oh my God, like let's not forget Jen's line!
Dedication from all to spread our mission in no time
Our beautiful Saccharine was meant to be
For the strong bond was for two not three
Occasional praising for others reminds me of the reasons why
Now and forever I'll be a sister of Theta Nu Xi
Elated to spread my butterfly wings and fly
Spring 2006 brought a different sisterhood to town
In the midst of leadership changing
Soon the last two founders graduating
The upcoming line proved that multiculturalism isn't just different shades of brown
Entering a new phase
Re-enforcement of our sisterhood would give everyone a new taste
Heirs of the ONE Love, along came
ONE View From Within
Omen of great success
Dedication with finesse
On the year we went from "Then to Ten"
Five devoted ladies...Abstract Portrait...became Theta Women
Occasional praising for others reminds me of the reasons why
Now and forever I'll be a sister of Theta Nu Xi
Elated to spread my butterfly wings and fly

Misconceptions
Eagle-like eyes attack us down the halls,
Fake impressions of "Oh my god, like let's go to the mall."
Misconceptions
Misconceptions that eat away our connect
Because we proudly wear our Greek letters people set degrees of separation
I'm like you
You're like her
She's like me
All we want to do is spread knowledge about diversity
Foster unity
In a mean that pacifically
We simply chose a different road to do so
Our Sorority
A sisterhood that represents different nationalities, ethnicities, sexualities
Misconceptions
Misconceptions that lead people to believe that we are a cult
What they don't know is that
We hold close to our heart a ritual oath of fidelity
It ain't no mystery
It's simply loyalty
A process
A process through which I've grown
I've learned
I grew some wings
And mastered new things
I discovered
I discovered a fusion of cultures
A culture of its own
A unique group of women
Who call themselves sorors
From our culture to yours
Spread the love,
ONE Love.
