President: Elodie V. Billionniere

Elodie Billionniere is visioning BGSA as a support network for black students which promotes recruitment, sustainability, and achievement of black students towards academic and personal success. She is a graduate from University of Montana, holding a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science-Mathematical Sciences. Currently, she is attending Arizona State University as a 4th year Doctoral student in Computer Science with emphasis Engineering Education and 1st year Masters student in Higher and Postsecondary Education with emphasis Leadership in Higher Education. She aspires to work for the National Science Foundation when she finishes her studies. Elodie is also an active member of the SHADES mentoring and tutoring program on campus, NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers), and ASEE (American Society for Engineering Education). Finally, Elodie has been elected as the National Black Graduate Students Association Arizona State Representative for 2008-2009.

Abena Abiola Hinds is a 2nd year Masters student in the Liberal Studies Program (Gender, Religion, and Culture) in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her career aspiration is to be a strong advocate for women's rights where she can create and implement policies that would improve their lives in positive ways. Her vision for BGSA at ASU is to help fellow graduate and undergraduate students to be successful in their academic achievements. She is honored to be part and serve this organization as the Co-President of Administration.

Activity Coordinator - Social Outings: Telpriore "Greg" Tucker

Mr. Tucker is the social chair for BGSA, a vision of empowering unity among black graduates through culturally stimulating and enlightening activities. He is a graduate from Tennessee State University, holding a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. Currently, residing in Phoenix, AZ as a graduate student researcher enrolled in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Arizona State University where he is pursuing the Ph.D. of Chemistry with an emphasis in Electrochemistry for energy devices and aspirations to start a career in the renewable energy industry when completed here. Mr. Tucker is also an active member of the SHADES mentoring and tutoring program on campus, ECS (The Electrochemical Society), and ACS (American Chemical Society).

Outreach Coordinator - Community Service Projects: Mary Jatau

Mary Jatau earned her BA in History at the University of Jos, Nigeria. She got her MA in Women Studies (focusing on women's reproductive health and rights) from San Francisco State University. Mary is currently a PhD student in Gender Studies specializing in Health, Science and Technology. She is also a graduate research associate in the Department of African and African American Studies. Mary aspires to pursue a research career in women's health. Her current project is a qualitative study of migrant women's health seeking pattern in Phoenix. Mary believes that belonging to BGSA provides her with the unique opportunity to build alliances and networks with community organizers, students, faculty and professionals. Mary intends to use her executive position to promote the activities of BGSA through publicity and community relations.
