Help new Sun Devils make Career Connections
Do you remember what it felt like to be a freshman? The Oct. 21 Career Connections event, sponsored by the Alumni Association and ASU Career Services, gives students the opportunity to talk to alums representing a wide variety of careers in an informal setting. Graduates are needed in many fields (including environmental science and sustainability, medicine and allied healthcare, recreation and tourism, entertainment performance and promotion) to provide a comprehensive experience. Journalism alums get inside scoop on new Cronkite building
The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications has moved to a new building in downtown Phoenix, and the school’s alumni chapter invites all journalism grads to take a tour of the building, located at 555 N. Central Avenue, before its official dedication on Nov. 20.

Engineering alums plan Sept. 20 BBQ
The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering alumni chapter invites engineering alums to join current students for a barbecue on Saturday, September 20, prior to the ASU vs. Georgia football game. The event will be held at the Brickyard at 7th Street and Mill Avenue in Tempe and will get started three hours prior to kickoff.

Native American chapter to host scholarship benefit dinner Oct. 18
Native American alums will gather on Oct. 18 at the 14th Annual Josiah N. Moore Memorial Scholarship Benefit Dinner. The theme this year is “Connecting with the Vision of Josiah.”

Students pound at ASU’s doors in record numbers
ASU enrollment is shattering records once again, with a projected freshman class of 9,700 students and overall numbers expected to top 66,000, according to enrollment data released by the university in late August.
