“Tubapalooza” coming June 27!
Join other Sun Devils on Saturday, June 27, for a fun-filled day of tubing on the Salt River!
We’ll load in at a spot designated by Salt River Tubing and float down the river maroon and gold style. A costume contest will be held to determine the most spirited Sun Devil tuber, so wear your gold proudly!

Membership appreciation mixer promotes career success
The ASU Alumni Association would like to say thank you to its members by picking up the tab at the June 16 Maroon and Gold Professionals Network mixer! Dues-paying members of the Alumni Association receive complimentary admission to the event, which will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the University Club, 425 E. University on ASU’s Tempe campus.

Enjoy family fun at Sun Devil Generations Movie Mania Day
Need to find a fun indoor activity for your lil’ Devils? Join us at Old Main on the Tempe campus from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm. on Tuesday, June 23 for Movie Mania Day! We’ll be screening “Horton Hears a Who,” “Kung Fu Panda” and “Bedtime Stories.”
Any Alumni Association member can sponsor a child in the Sun Devil Generations program. Junior Sun Devils receive a special gold T-shirt, invitations to fun family events like this one and lots of chances to learn about ASU, Sparky and more!

Get in the know with the Women in Business group
Female graduates of ASU have a new way to network: the Women in Business group, hosted by the Alumni Association. Its next “Wine and Networking” Mixer will be 5:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, at La Bocca, Pizzeria & Wine Bar, 699 S. Mill, Tempe. Join other talented Sun Devil women as they connect and inspire each other.
This meeting of Women in Business is FREE for dues-paying members of the ASU Alumni Association, $10 for non-members.

Nurturing the next Picasso? Bring ‘em to Family Fun Day at ASU Art Museum
The ASU Art Museum will present Family Fun Day, its 10th annual summer day of free hands-on activities and events for the entire family, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 11. This year’s event will have a culinary theme, as youngsters and their parents explore the “Food: Feast for the Eyes from the Permanent Collection” exhibit currently on display at the museum. Come and join the fun!

Cronkite school wins Hearst competition for second year in a row
The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication finished first in the nation in the Hearst Journalism Awards, a prestigious competition often called the Pulitzer Prizes of college journalism. Arizona State University now has won the Hearst competition twice in the past three years and finished first or second in four of the past five years.

A flood of admission applications hit Barrett, the Honors College at ASU this spring. Applications were up 38 percent over last year, with more top Arizona high school seniors choosing Barrett, as well as increased numbers from other states.

Baseball team hits College World Series
The Arizona State University baseball team advanced to the 2009 College World Series with an 8-2 win over Clemson on June 8 to win the Tempe Super Regional. The win puts ASU in the College World Series for the 21st time in school history and the third time in the last five seasons.

Women's golf team captures NCAA Championship
The ASU women's golf team turned in a dominating performance at the Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md., to win the NCAA Golf Championship, their first national title since 1998 and seventh overall.
