The Alumni Association's annual Homecoming Awards recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to the association and university community. Nominations are being accepted for the Alumni Service Award and the Alumni Appreciation Award. The nomination deadline is 5 p.m., Sept. 18.

Let the game-watching begin!
Fall across the Sun Devil nation means that out-of-state ASU fans will be holding game watching parties to cheer the football team to victory. Join the fun at a location near you!

Orange County: Sun Devil Football Season Kickoff Viewing Party, 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 5, at Sharkeez, 114 McFadden Place, Newport Beach, Calif. Information, e-mail chrisbissonnette@aol.com.

Western Pennsylvania/Northern Appalachia: Game-watching parties for ASU’s Sept. 5 and Sept. 12 football contests, at 160 Beaconview Road, Pittsburgh, Pa.  Both events start at 9:30 p.m. To RSVP, e-mail charles.tichy@sru.edu

New leader for ASU's Del E. Webb Construction Programs announced
G. Edward Gibson Jr., a member of the National Academy of Construction with decades of teaching, research, administration and project management experience in the field, is the new Del E. Webb School of Construction Programs Chair at Arizona State University.
