Sandra Day O’Connor to headline Oct. 9 Women in Business event
Join the Alumni Association for a special Women in Business event Friday, Oct. 9. Sandra Day O’Connor, the first female justice appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court and the namesake for the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU, will speak on women’s leadership styles, surviving hard times and making a difference in one’s community.
Tickets to this event are $40 for Alumni Association members and $45 for non-members.

University Club co-hosts “Wine Down Wednesdays” event Sept. 9
Enjoy two of the finer things in life—good wine and good friendship—from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9, when the University Club and the Alumni Association host Wine Down Wednesday at the University Club, located at 425 E. University Drive on ASU’s Tempe campus.

Share the joy of ASU with your kids! Sun Devil Generation’s third annual carnival celebration will take place 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12 in the Arizona Ballroom of the Memorial Union at ASU’s Tempe campus. This showcase of child-oriented ASU programs and activities will feature balloon artists, face painters, mask-making and lots of hands-on activities from various ASU colleges.

The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication will host its second Cronkite New Media Academy this fall, offering professional training for those who want to learn new media skills. The academy will be held on 10 consecutive Saturdays, beginning Sept. 12 and ending Nov. 14.
