I hope you are all well.  We recently had chapter elections and have elected a new board.  The members of the board are:

Please help me in welcoming the new board to their positions.  I also want to send out special thanks to Kevin O’Connor who helped on the nomination committee.  We have great passion for ASU and want to strengthen the value of our degree and increase the visibility of our chapter in the community. 

This and next year is very significant for the Georgia - Southern Region chapter as ASU has invaded the south.  You may be aware that ASU played the University of Georgia in Football this year in Tempe.  In 2009 we will be hosted by UGA.  We want to have a strong showing not only for the GA – Southern Region chapter but for all of ASU.  We will be hosting a big alumni event and throw a fantastic tailgate party before the game.  We would like to have the support of all the alumni in the Southern Region to make this a great year for the Chapter and all Sun Devils.

Along with the board members listed above we are looking to create other directors for the purposes of Social, Philanthropy, Family, Sports and other interests.  There are a lot of alumni that want to get involved and we want to create the programming that will have something for everyone.  Please let me know what interests you have and how I, any board members, or ASU staff can help you achieve your interests and goals.

Finally, I want to thank Dr. Bob Desman for all of his hard work and efforts as the past President of the GA – Southern Region chapter.  Bob is a great alumnus and as past President I’m sure he will be involved to help this chapter reach greatness.
